A Tree and a Wii

Santa came! Dolls, pyramids, pirate ships, Bionicles, erector sets, Legos, Ripstiks, lots and lots of candy, flashlights, a Dragon Castle, And a Wii and even a new tree! Whew...and I haven't even named it all! Oh yes, I can't forget my new Flip Camcorder! Horray for Santa! Christmas was a really fun day. We stayed at home playing with toys in our pajamas! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Santa for this one! I hear laughter instead of fighting!

Domo
Santa even had a
a little something in
his sack for the hamster.

Christmas Eve

Every year on Christmas Eve our neighbor gives everyone on our street these white sacks with rock salt and candles. We all set them along the sidewalk and light them. Our street is beautiful and glowing.

The kids are anxious to unwrap their presents. They can only open one on Christmas Eve. And even though they know it will be pajamas they are excited to see what they look like and put them on. It just wouldn't be Christmas Eve without them.

Christmas Eve Party

At our family Christmas Eve Party, the kids put on a little talent show. Here's my big guy playing "Good King Wenceslas" on the piano. He's been taking lessons since September and he did FABULOUS!

An angel for the nativity.

The Nativity. Recognize Joseph and a couple of those wise men?

The Errand of Angels

A couple of Santa's helpers delivering Mom's lemon bread to some of the neighbors for Christmas.

Christmas Village

I'm behind on blogging with Christmas being so busy, but we did have some time to make these fabulous "gingerbread" houses a couple of weeks ago. The kids had such a great time - it's our new favorite Christmas tradition.

Little Man is pulling faces. He LOVES to do that lately.

Visiting Teaching Christmas Gift Idea

Here's an idea for a Christmas gift for visiting teaching. These are small bottles of Joy dish washing liquid and handmade dish cloths. (No, I didn't not make them - but someone did.) I attached the following saying:

As you use this dish cloth, please remember during your misdeeds and trials, that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has felt all of our pain and sorrows and is there to bear our burdens. And it is only through Him that we may be cleansed and one day, stand spotless before God. This is the sweet peace we can feel in the Christmas season - grateful for His birth and the “Joyous” gift that He has given.

White as Snow

December 5, 2009
About to be baptized by her daddy.

Just before the program started, standing in the foyer.

The next day - ready for church in her white dress holding her new scriptures and tote.

The first snowfall of winter. A half hour before the baptism the snow started to fall and it fell hard. It was a bit treacherous for our family who had to drive a long distance to be with us, but it was completely Perfect! How special it was to be so beautiful and glissening white outside that day.

Wearing a beautiful little CTR locket from her primary teachers.

Thank you to our many family members who came and were able to share this special day! It meant so much to us and will be unforgettable. We love you all!
