Next week she'll be dancing on stage to "Eye of the Tiger". Her older brother took one look at this picture and told her that her hair looked like Medusa. She thinks she looks like an 80's chick. I just think she looks adorable.

Does anyone know a code that would center photos in the sidebar? It's driving me nuts!

Couch to 5K

For the past 5 weeks I've been trying the Couch to 5K program. Rumor has it that in as little as two months I should be ready to run jog a 5K. Although I didn't start from the couch level (but close), I am certainly not a runner, nor have I ever been a runner. But, today I hit the treadmill once again and completed Day 1 of Week 6.   Three days a week and about a half hour each, things have been going pretty well. Saturday I convinced the Mr. to run jog with me a full 20 minutes without stops. He hasn't been working his way up to this, but I was very proud of him for not passing out. I had some concerns after the first 3 minutes, but he pulled through like a champ! It was so great having someone beside me to do this with. My goal is to participate in at least two 5Ks this summer. I'll keep you posted. And....if I can do this - so can you! Click on the link above to check out the program then of course get off the computer and start a running.

UPDATE: I just finished Week 7 Day 1. Yes, that was 25 minutes of straight jogging. I didn't feel like doing it today but I did. I actually increased my speed by 2 points and I finished it! It was a killer....

My Mother's Day

We headed to my mom-n-laws house to spend the night. It was a blast! We joined up with the rest of the family and had such a great time! Sunday morning we heard a couple of excellent talks in church (provided by the hosts of the  home). Would you believe me if I told you all 16 of us made it to 9 o'clock church on time?  Back at the house we all changed clothes and everyone but the mothers got to work in the kitchen cooking up a delicious brunch. A fry'n and a mix'n and a flip'n - smoky bacon filled the air. In the meantime Sis-n-law and I got the spa treatment thanks to our sweetie daughters! It was so relaxing....

Of course I also got the ever sweet cards from Kiddos and a clay horse...yes, a clay horse. It was such a great day!

Apron Chic Mother's Day

I gave these little aprons for Mother's Day this year and I was just so excited!

Know how to sew a straight line; work a few straight pins and use an iron? You can do this! I purchased a PDF Pattern from here. I had a blast picking out fabrics and went to work.
